Dr. Felix MitelmanFelix Mitelman, is a Swedish geneticist and is Professor of Clinical Genetics in Lund, Sweden. He is best known for his pioneering work on chromosome changes in cancer.
He is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and is a member of the Board of the European Cytogeneticists Association. In 2007 he was awarded the Nordic Fernström prize and in 2008 the Söderberg Prize in Medicine. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the scientific journal Genes, Chromosomes & Cancer Extract of Dr. Mitelman maintains a database of nearly 60,000 cases of chromosome aberrations in neoplastic disorders |
